Please read the following for Klyde Warren Park’s response to the outbreak of COVID-19, also known as the novel coronavirus. The health and safety of our guests, volunteers and staff is a top priority.
In light of the recent state of emergency being declared in Dallas, we are suspending all scheduled programs and game cart operations until further notice, as well as closing the Children’s Park and Dog Park, and turning off water features. The Park will remain open during regular operating hours, but we ask that you please not visit if you are showing any signs of illness.
Updates will be provided as we continue to monitor the news and receive protocol information from Dallas County Health and Human Services, the City of Dallas Park and Recreation and Office of Special Events, and the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
In the meantime, CDC signs recommending common practices that help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses have been posted in a number of locations throughout the Park, and multiple hand sanitizer stations have been made available.
Klyde Warren Park is also cleaned continuously with hospital-grade disinfectant that meets or exceeds the recommendations of the CDC.
· Tables and chairs are disinfected multiple times each day.
· Restrooms are cleaned at least once per hour and more frequently based on Park occupancy.
· Disinfectant spray is utilized throughout the day on Park trash cans, play equipment, games, door handles, etc.
Thanks so much for your patronage and cooperation, and please refer to the following CDC link to help stop the spread of both the virus and surrounding rumors. We will stay in touch.
