KLYDE WARREN PARK ANNOUNCES STAR-STUDDED CHEF LINEUP FOR 5TH ANNUAL PARK & PALATE


DALLAS, TX (September 9, 2019) – Klyde Warren Park has announced the full chef lineup for Dallas’
fifth annual premier food and wine festival, Park & Palate, presented by Republic National Distributing
Company (RNDC). This year’s fundraiser will feature a special Dinner in the Park on Saturday, October
5, and Grand Taste on Saturday, October 26, drawing thousands to sample the best in the city’s culinary
scene.

Imoto’s celebrity chef Kent Rathbun will again serve as host chef for Park & Palate, which annually
showcases Dallas’ nationally recognized culinary landscape, along with the finest wineries, breweries
and spirits. The two-part event offers community-minded corporations, philanthropists and individuals
the opportunity to experience Klyde Warren Park in a unique way, while supporting the city’s gem of a
green space.

“I am honored to once again serve as host chef for Park & Palate, benefiting our city’s beloved Klyde
Warren Park,” said renowned chef Kent Rathbun, who has been curating and leading the team of
participating chefs. “With the help of my talented peers, Park & Palate is well on its way to becoming
one of the country’s most popular food and wine festivals, right in the heart of Dallas.”

On Saturday, October 5, at Park & Palate’s Dinner in the Park, Rathbun will treat guests to a seated threecourse
dinner under the stars, with a champagne reception, Broadway entertainment, live dance music
and the stunning designs of Todd Fiscus. Three weeks later, on Saturday, October 26, Park & Palate’s
Grand Taste will welcome approximately 3,000 food and wine lovers for a festival of the senses. This
ticketed event takes over the entire park and includes a BBQ alley, beer garden, VIP lounge, lawn games
and music from DJ S.O.U.L.Jah and Bandolero. Grand Taste will also feature book signings from Rob
Arnold, Lisa Fain, Dean Fearing, Paula Lambert and John Tesar.

“After Grand Taste’s resounding success last year, we are excited to expand the event to include our East
Lawn, with grill masters, local breweries and live music,” said Klyde Warren Park President Kit Sawers.
“We’re also thrilled to partner with Interabang for book signings featuring some the city’s top chefs. This
is Klyde Warren Park’s one and only annual fundraiser, and, with the help of our generous chairs, host
committee and sponsors, it will ensure continued free programming for the Park’s million-plus visitors
each year.”

The Park’s East Lawn will showcase a BBQ Alley presented by Premier Grilling and Kamado Joe Grill,
with live demonstrations from Kent Rathbun. Complementing BBQ Alley is a beer garden hosted by
Dallasites101, with samples from Lakewood Brewing Company, Oak Highlands Brewery, Pegasus City
Brewery, Peticolas Brewing Company, Texas Ale Project, White Rock Alehouse & Brewery and more.
Wines and spirits featured by RNDC include Austin Cocktails, Banfi Vintners, Becker Vineyards,

city funding for operations.

The Sewell Family — Peggy and Carl Sewell, Jacquelin and William Atkinson, and Josie and Carl Sewell
III — will serve as the 2019 Park & Palate Honorary Chairs. Event Chairs are Brooke Hortenstine and
Missy Wyszynski, both longtime champions of the Park.

Dinner in the Park will take place from 6:30-11 PM on Saturday, October 5. Grand Taste will be held
from 12:30-4 PM on Saturday, October 26, with general admission tickets available for $75 and VIP
tickets for $125. VIP ticket holders will receive access at noon, as well as complimentary self-parking
and an open bar at the VIP Lounge in Savor.
